Anna Vardapetyan visited Arsen Gasparyan, 15 year old future lawyer living in the Lichk village, Gegharkunik region

In the scope of the visit to the Gegharkunik region on February 16, 2024, Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General also visited 15-year-old Arsen Gasparyan, who sent a letter addressed to the RA Prosecutor General on November 14, 2023 to the email of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

 

In his letter Arsen mentioned that he is studying at the 10th grade and he wanted to become a prosecutor: “I have heard a lot of your speeches and I would really like to meet you and talk with you at least 10 minutes, believe me it will mean a lot to me”.

 

In the response letter dated November 30, 2023, Anna Vardapetyan thanked Arsen Gasparyan and stated: “I believe in your wish. I am sure that you are willful and patient enough to consistently improve your education and to become one of the best lawyers of Armenia, because crime is powerless before legal knowledge and analytical thought”.

 

Being a prosecutor means to be ready to protect the rights of the victims, to be brave to charge the person encroaching the public good, to be uncompromising against corruption destroying state institutions and to become the voice of the individuals whose voice is not heard due to the fact that they are in a vulnerable situation”. 

 

In the letter Anna Vardapetyan promised Arsen Gasparyan that they will definitely meet one day.

 

Taking an advantage of the opportunity of visiting the region for summarizing the works implemented by the Prosecutor’s Office of Gegharkunik region during 2023, Anna Vardapetyan visited the author of the letter. During the meeting RA Prosecutor General and Arsen Gasparyan discussed the questions related to the choice of the future profession, after which Arsen suggested visiting his school and library of the village. 

 

Anna Vardapetyan together with Arsen Gasparyan visited the secondary school named after Hovhannes Tumanyan in Lichk, met with Arsen’s classmates, teachers and headmaster of the school.

 

Afterwards they visited the library of Lichk, where Arsen talked about his favorite authors, short stories, his interest in learning new things, his wish to become a lawyer and to serve the state.

 

The Prosecutor General thanked the future lawyer and highlighted, that she believes in Arsen’s wish and she is also sure that he will become one of the best lawyers of Armenia.
