The accused escaped because of the policeman’s negligence
The preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on the case of official negligence by the policeman of RA Police, Erebuni division has been completed in the Special Investigation Service.
The prosecutor supervising the preliminary investigation has affirmed the accusatory conclusion.
The preliminary investigation revealed that on November 4, 2009, at about 14:15, Mayis Petrosyan, the assistant of the on-duty official of Erebuni division, left the operative on -duty hall and went to the restroom, as a result of which the detained Gurgen Asatryan accused of robbery was left out of control, escaped from the custody. He found and arrested two days later.
On the obtained evidence Mayis Petrosyan has been charged pursuant to the RA Criminal Code Article 315, part 1.
The criminal case was sent to the Court of First Instance of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts for the thorough investigation.
